The title of this post is pretty straight: can I have one dollar? Yes, I am talking to you! Why? There is actually no reason. What can you do with one dollar? On the one hand the list of things you could do with it is pretty short. And on the other I am not saying you must give me a dollar: I am just saying if you can give me a tiny dollar: that won't change your life.

I hear what you are saying: 'if it doesn't change my life how can it change yours'? But see, I am not trying to change my life. I am just a student who has a part time job that doesn't really help me with bills. Of course, there are people who need the dollar more than I do. But this is not charity. And it is definitely not selling.

The main and only point here is: could you just send me a dollar that is going to help me a lot? You will have my gratitude and your name will be listed in another page.

I have really been busy during the last months but I have also wondered about other cool methods to save some money. Back in action...with more money tips!

Good morning fellows!

I hope you're all fine. If you're wondering where the heck I've been the answer is pretty simple: I've been out there looking for some ideas to create wealth. And that's not a joke. With the passing of time it gets harder to save, even if you have a good job. That's why lots of people prefear to start their own business so that they can work for their own sake and make as much as they want. Actually, if any of you would like to start a business but you don't want to do it alone, please, do not esitate to contact me.

Surfing the web I've been going through some very original ideas. But the one that really cought my attention is the following: impose a tax on yourself. That's right! A Tax. Scared?! Don't be: what I mean is that everytime you go around shopping and you buy something you don't really need (say a coffee for example) put an extra 10% of the price aside. By doing so you're actually acting in two ways:

1) before you'll buy again something useless you'll think about it twice because the product is going to be more expensive;

2)everytime you buy the product you put some money in the right place: your saving account.

Solutions to cut your bills

Reading books and browsing the net has brought me see that people try to invent every kind of solution to get out of debt or just to live a more affordable life, especially in the USA, where people always try to re-invent themselves.

Among the most valuable solutions, I found out that, to cut the expenses, you'll need to:

1. Move to a cheaper apartment/house. Maybe you are going to lose some comforts but when at the end of the month you'll see a much better bank statement, then you'll realize it was a good idea;

2. Cut you utilities' bills. We are very lucky, because we're living at a time when you can choose through so many companies and enterprises selling water, gas and electricity. You just need to select the best one for your needs (and your pocket!);

3. Cut on grocery shopping. As I mentioned earlier, there are plenty of things that you don't really need or, even better, that are cheaper if you switch to a different brand. Plus, always remember to write down what you need to buy, so that you won't be tempeted to buy silly stuff;

4. Make money. When I say so, I don't really mean go out and look for a job: that should be common sense. What I really mean is that you have to look always for new opportunities to make some extra cash, even it involves a bit of work or time.

PPC (or Pay Per Click) programs

Hi pals,

hope you're fine. Today I just wanna have a quick start! And what I'm going to write is about blogging. See, on the the internet you can basically two tipes of blogs: one is free of ads and the other one got ads on it. In fact, some people prefear to sell some advertising space to PPC programs in order to gain something back form their activity. Pay Per Click programs work like this: basically every time somebody clicks on an ad you get paid a percentage of the total amount.

Some people claim they've made thousands and thousand thanks to Google AdSense, which is probably the best in the field. But there are also some other programs: about a week ago I came across a site called www.infolinks.com which offer the same service and pay you via paypal as soon as you reach the treshold of $100. Google AdSense too pays you after you reach the treshold of $100 but via cheque.

I am not pretty sure if you can really become either rich or make loads of money with this method, but you can create an alternative income stream, especially after that your blog starts to be seen on the main search engines. As it does require an hard work, I cannot guarantee it's gonna be useful to everybody, but I think you should give it a try if you have a blog or a website.

Do not pay to get paid

Hi guys, have you ever been scammed? Well, I have. And it's actually a very very bad experience. In fact, I've been scammed by one of those opportunities that you can find on the internet: 'make 100's in 15 minutes' and stuff like that. And the worst thing is that I believed it!

I found this ad that was promoting (like many others ads) the chance to make money out of a strategy to use at online casinos. It is useless to say that I actually lost my money. Plus, my need for more cash was still unsatisfied.

See, the problem is that there are so many fake opportunities out there that you cannot even imagine. They fool around people that probably need to find a quick solution to their lack of money. It's the same for the surveys' sites. Many of them pay little money but they do not ask you for anything. On the other hand some sites invite you to pay a one time fee to receive their surveys. That's actually ridiculous! You look for money and you have to pay to get it? Come on! What kind of deal is that?

So, yeah, always be careful. Don't ever pay to be paid. And stay away from on line casinos unless you already got money and you want to take the risk.

Ok! I know what you're thinking. What's the connection between D-day and moneysaver blog?! Well the connection is that, thanks to that day that changed history, we're living the richest historical momentum of the whole humanity ever. So, in simple words: no D-day, no money!

Many reasons to save

All right! Here we are again. I'm very sorry with all of you guys, but it's very hard to keep the content of a blog updated daily when you have a job. But, before we start with our post of the day, I'd like to say a couple of things. First of all, I'd like to say thank you to those four people who voted at the question 'what do you think of this blog?' saying that they actually like it. In fact the result was 50% it's great and 50% I kinda like it.

Second of all, I received a request by student blog, who was asking if he could create a link to my article 'The importance of being a saver', and my answer is: yes of course you can. I'd actually be pleasured by that.

Let's keep moving! Today I want to talk about something so obvious that many of us do not see. I'll tell you why we save! We save for two main reasons:

1. We save money because we make plans for our future. We plan to buy a new car, a new house, a new TV, to study and so on. There reasons are illimitate. But it's by saving a bit of our money that we achieve the targets we planned.

2.But we also save for another main reason, which is unexpected emergency. In fact, we never know what life has ready for us. We might live a long life full of happiness but that doesn't mean that an accident may not occur. And that's why we get ready for everything by putting something apart whenever we can.

There's also another reason which is even more obvious: we save money because we want more money! And with the help of a well paying saving account we can achive this goal.

Hello everyone,

how are you getting on with our challenge to put 1 $/€/£ away? I'm actually doing very well and I feel very confident. You see it is very important to save money as much as it is earn good money. That's because you can always earn more but that doesn't mean that you won't spend more money. But if improve your ability to save money, then, you will save even more money when you'll get paid more.

I'm quite sure that some of you are thinking that I'm just a talker as they are minimum wage earner. Well, I'm not really a good income earner and I need to do some effort to reach the end of the month without problems. But that doesn't mean that I can't save money or at least try. Even minimum income earner can save money, obviously it may be harder to save a lot but after a while it becomes automatic and if you are able to create multiple income streams (just as rich men do) it will be possible to save more and more every day. Just as it is never too late learn it's never too late to start saving.

The problem with many of us is that the more we have the more we want to spend because we like to have the newest stuff on the market. Well, that's the wrong attitude. Rich men, millionaires, do not grow rich in one day. They create, invest, and make efforts. Practice and willingness are the points that make the difference. Change your future today, now. You can.

Summer is almost here and despite the fact that the days are not yet lightful we're all thinking about holidays and trips. Well, today I'm gonna give you some tips about how and where booking your holidays.

First of all, wherever you're flying to, book you holidays early especially if you chose a destination where you know that there are going to be thousands of tourist. If you book too late you could spend even more than £1.000 a part from the ticket normal price.

Second of all, fly cheap! Use one of the low-cost airlines beacuse they are very competitive on the market and sometimes (especially if you book early) they offer a good bargain. Last year, Ryanair offered some flight at the price of £1 with no extra charges or fees. But if you want to look for the best bargain look at:

The importance of being a saver

Many times on web, if you're looking for money saving tip, there are lots of sites and blogs stressing the importance of saving even $1 on a daily basis because this equals to $30 dollars in a month and $365 in a year and if you can save more those amounts increase. Why do they keep saying that? You see, normal people cannot, or do not want, save money that way but if you think about it's darn easy! Do you drink coffee? If drink even two a day in any coffee shop that's way more than a dollar. You buy lunch? That's more than a dollar. And we could go on for a very long time. The point is we became so addicted to spending that even when we talk about saving a small amount of money we think of it as a pretty hard thing. Well it is not and you know that.

Now, I wanna start something with all of you here and today. All of you who have been reading my blog are about 400. Let's try and save altogether. From today we are going to try and save a dollar (or £1 or E1) for 30 days. Remember, you have to win your will of spending. Do you really need that coffee at the shop? Can't you make lunch at home? C'mon, let's give it a try! I'm with you.

Cheap doesn't mean bad

In an uncertain time like this saving money is important. Unfortunately we all like to spend money, but the more we spend the less money we'll have for our priorities.

One of the things that I really learned in London is that if you don't need it you can sell it on e-bay: isn't that just great? Look around you: how many things can you see that you don't need? All of that crap that you're saving each day!! Well, now you can get rid of it and even make money! In this way you'll even gain some free space.

If, by chance, you don't like e-bay, you can still use amazon and many others! The choice is yours!

Sometimes when we go to the supermarket we do two common mistakes:

1) we buy more than we need;

2) we buy only well known brands.

Only by avoiding this misteks we could save big bucks every months. The solution is that whenever you go to the supermarket don't just pick stuff. Instead, make a list with what you're missing and stick to it. In that way you'll even save time. Also, don't get only big brand's products as sometimes you can find some cheaper stuff that tastes even better.

However, there's another thing that you might don't like, but if you live on a budget it's a must: when you buy food avoid famous supermarkets go instead to discount markets where you pay much less.

A penny saved is a penny earned

A few months ago I came across a book, 'million dollar habits' by Brian Tracy, which gave me some good stuff to think about. One of the habits B.T. talks about is how to become a millionaire and the path to achieve your first million. The thing that most I appreciated is that everybody can achieve his first million by doing some practical excercises and of these is trying to put apart a small percentage of your wage every month and increase that percentage month by month. by doing so you won't feel a big difference but in the end of one year you'll see that you put away a good amount of savings.

Also, I know it sounds obvious but it's actually not, B.T. makes clear that whenever you invest your money in something don't just throw your money in it without actually knowing what it is. You should, instead, do your small research and ask a financial advisor what that's all about, because you can't control luck or bad luck, but you can be aware of the risk involved in some particular action.

Now, there's an English rule that says a 'penny saved is a penny earned'. Some people (especially brokers and investors) do not agree with that but in my opinion it's a good suggestion. You never know when it comes a rainy day and if it does come. But it's better if you are prepeared for it by saving a bit day by day.

Good morning people,

today the sun is shining and I feel ready to give some cool tips!

When I started the blog I told you that I was going to give you even some ideas or tips about making money. In fact, I suggest you should join this panel:

It's just a simple survey site but it's even the most effective that I found. You won't become rich but you will make a good few money especially if you are in the U.S. as the payout is $50. But that's not all. Today I want to give you more than just one tip. In fact I'll give you two tips.

By digging your own vegetable you will cut your grocery shopping in a way that you have never seen before. Many are doing it right now either because prices at the supermarket are darn expensive or because they like to eat food they know where it comes from. I know what many of you are thinking: 'I don't have a garden'. So? You don't need a garden and grow thousands of vegetables, just a few will do. For example, I got a small pot where I'm growing my own tomatoes! It's pretty easy and it makes me feel happy to see that plant growing day by day. Have a try!

How much are you spending?

Hello folks,

how you doing? Before starting with my tip I just want to mention a couple of things. First of all, Thank you very much to the person that donated me 10 bucks saying that's supportive money for my small project. I really apprecite people's help.

And, second of all, I just wanna say sorry to all of you for not having posted any article for a few days, but i have been busy with my job: in fact I've been working at the Chelsea Flower Show in London. But I promise that I'll try to be more continuos with my blog from now on.

So, today I'm gonna ask you: how much are you spending? You see, during a day, one week, one month, etc... We all have expenses as well as various forms of income. And all of this forms represents our budget, or, in other words, the money we can afford to spend. Then, the difference between our budget and our expenses can be positive and we have a surplus (...and that's good!), or it can be negative (...and that's just a headache!)

Once you determine that you have a surplus (hopefully), it's time to set your financial goals. To do this the best option is to open a saving account with the bank or building society that offers you the best interest rate. But let's be clear about that: once you put that money apart you have to convince yourself not to touch them for any reason other than what you set the account for. It's not easy to start this process (especially in the UK where many spend more than what they gain) but once you'll see your money growing day by day you'll start to feel some pleasure that is gonna make the whole process much easier.

When you set your goal be realistic: for example you can't save £100k in a year if you are paid £2000 p/m. That is just going to make you think that saving money is impossible.

Life's hard but it's worth living it!

Cutting and cutting.

The big thruth is: no matter who you are, you can save money! Of course, not everyone is capable of living within his own means. But with a bit of self control I'm quite sure that everybody (and I mean everybody!) can change his own attitude and become a wiser shopper.

Packing your lunch from home is a good start, as I wrote earlier, but there's much more you can do: when it comes to stuff like clothes, shoes, entertainment, transportation, etc...You have to look for bargains a chose the best deal for you. And if it's still expensive ask yourself 'do I really need that'?

Also, when you have to buy something, look for freebies! The internet is full of stuff for free as there are many people that want to get rid of something they actually don't need. Plus, you can always find something at a bargain price on Ebay or Amazon.

Remember, cutting expenses does not mean to stop buying!

Money DIY.

Some things never change. And that's true for the most of us. Think about what you usually do during a normal weekday: probably you get out to go to work (hopefully by tube and not by taxi) and you buy a coffee, then, when it's lunchtime, you get yourself a sandwich (maybe an 'healthy' one). After work you go to drink a cup of tea and then you go to the supermarket to buy your ready meal. Is that you? If yes, you spend about £100 every week, just during normal working days. Don't you think that's silly? What if you drank your coffee and you tea at home? What if you made your dinner at home and put something of that apart for next day's lunch? I know it's kind of boring, but think about this: it's like giving yourself a pay rise of more than £400 a month!!!

To make sure you cut on things like those ones you need to do one thing: get yourself a pen and a small notebook and write down everything that you buy during a week, a month or even one year! Then highlight the ones you think are useless and try to avoid them for the future. Again, yes it sounds silly, but if you did it you'd see that you (like many other people) spend huge amount of money that you could invest in something else.

Banks are stuffed with our money.

All right people, if you are here that's because you wanna take your first step towards the hardest and never ending journey of money saving and I'll try to put you on the right track day by day because I do, as well, struggle every month to put some money apart. So, let's take off!

First of all, I guess many of you like to enjoy your money from time to time. And to keep them save you leave them in a bank account thinking that the bank is doing your interest. That's wrong!

When you signed up for a bank account you probably said yes to many of the things the person on the other side of the desk was asking, like 'for a little extra we'll give you a mobile insurance, ok? And breakdown cover, ok? etc...'. Now, tell me one thing, do you really need all of that stuff you' re paying for? Wouldn't it be better if you could save those few quids with the others? Remember: don't pay for things you don't need!

My second point is that probably many of you not even checked for a better deal when you signed for the account. For example, did you know that Alliance and Leicester are giving away an account with 100 quids in it plus a year with 0% overdraft! This is just one the many possible examples as all banks offer a different product. You have to look for what is the best option for you especially when you struggle.
